Fruit & Veggies Matter Web site is a comprehensive portal sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This resource focuses on the benefits of consuming adequate amounts of fruits and vegetables in order to protect and maintain one's health. This resource features the National Fruit and Vegetable Program, which is a partnership of government, not-for-profit groups and industry groups working collaboratively and synergistically to increase the consumption of fruits and vegetables for improved public health.
The web site also includes Fruit and Vegetable of the Month, healthy tips for breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu, recipe builders searchable by food and meal types, interactive tools that allow you to calculate how many calories you get with every meal, a helpful Q&A section, as well as numerous resources and tools for health professionals.
