2011 Edmonds Award Reception

A reception was held at Tarver Library on April 19 to honor the recipients of this year's 'Valerie B. Edmonds Student Research Award.' The winner for 2011 is Stephen Kearse, an English major and student of Dr. David Davis. His winning paper is "Defying Objectivity: An Exploration of Ethnocentrism in Jonah's Gourd Vine." Laurel McCormack, an international affairs major, received the runner-up award for her paper, "Modern Religious Missions: Western Imperialism or Natural Competition?"
